15 RANDOM FACTS
It took me four tries to get my driver's license, but as of April 25th, 2008, I'm the proud holder of a shiny new license! I'm also the owner of an old car that's not so shiny but that I love nonetheless.
I hate alarm clocks. Their beeping makes me irritable. I have one, but I don't use the alarm function if I can get away with it, because otherwise I'll be in a bad mood from the moment I get out of bed. It's always been like that.
I'm a Harry Potter geek - that universe is my ultimate escape. Twilight is a close second.
My first language is French, but I'm fluent in English (more written than spoken). When with friends, I'll usually speak both languages, switching from one language to the other and back without warning, sometimes in the middle of a sentence.
I had braces from summer 2000 to September 2004 - I got them off just in time for my senior year yearbook picture!
I'm currently studying translation (I'm halfway through my second semester), but I'd like to study literature (French and English) and maybe journalism as well.
Once I graduate from college in the spring of 2010, I'm planning to go spend a few weeks in England with friends.
When I was younger, I wanted to be a teacher, and then a writer, and then an actress. The only thing is, I'm a really bad teacher and I can't act. I'm still hoping I'll manage to publish a book one day. Once I'm a certified translator, I would like to translate literature and/or video games. I definitely don't want to work in science or law.
I clean when I’m upset or stressed out. It helps me calm down.
I know how to play the recorder, the xylophone (seriously, who didn't learn that in elementary school?) and the clarinet; I have a guitar at home that I've had for over three years, but I still don't know how to play. One of my goals for 2008 is to take lessons.
I always carry so much stuff in my backpack that my friends have taken to calling me Turtle - a nickname that soon changed to Pink Ninja Turtle, because I love the TMNT and my bag is a really bright pink.
I've been collecting Power Rangers and Harry Potter toys, so all over my bedroom you can find morphers, dolls, and figurines. My most prized items are the six 8 inch Original Power Rangers (from the first season) in their original boxes that a friend of mine gave me, as well as, most recently, a set of Weasley twins figures I'd been seeking for months. I'm always on the look out for more toys (especially Power Rangers morphers and Weasley twins toys), so if you see anything of interest, let me know!
I went through a really bad bout of depression in 2007, but thankfully I'm doing heaps better now and have learned a lot through my experience, thanks to a few really good and dedicated friends who kept me from completely sinking.
When I was younger, I desperately wanted a brother. Unfortunately, I only got a sister. I used to dream of finding out I had a twin brother - I've always had some kind of fascination for twins.
I have a scar on my left cheek that I got when I was about three and an older boy kicked a wooden swing straight into my face. With time it faded to the point where people don't really notice it unless I tell them. I also have a very, very faint scar (three vertical lines) under my right eye where a friend's dog scratched me when I was eleven.
